Guest House Construction - Part VII

Next, the wallboard went up...

The sheetrock folks are a very messy bunch. They even broke a window with their scaffolding.

When the sheetrock is done, we have to be ready with paint colors. So we bought some fiberboard at Lowes and began testing prospective color choices.

At the same time, we were selecting types of wood and stains for the wood trim.

The mud guys made a real mess of the front porch, but their final product is all that really matters.

We are going to have wood paneling in our bathroom, so only the ceiling got sheetrock.

Meanwhile, we got a hatch for the crawlspace access.

It took mopping with Spic and Span to get most of the joint compound and dust off of the porch deck.

Ultimately, we loved the cedar with a cherry stain so much, we decided to adopt it as the interior woodwork.
