Our Construction Project
(Part II)
They installed the wallboard in record time, giving the illusion of immediate completion of the project.
They did a very good job with the complicated features.
We then received the woodwork shipment, which we were required to paint. We decided to do all of the painting in the project to save several thousand dollars (believe it or not).
We started by painting the linear woodwork: baseboards, window frames and crown molding.
We stored the overflow on the porch.
We did a hell of a lot of painting and took no pictures, but then the wood floor started to go in . . .
The wall and trim colors can be seen in this view as well as the new flooring going in. You can see the foam filled underlayment on the step where the floor has yet to be installed. (Not to mention Grace and her baby carriage).
A close up of the flooring.
