We live next to a grove of huge oak trees.

Our neighbor is going to be in trouble the next time the big oak gets hit by lightning. They just built an addition to their home that is right under the biggest tree.

Daddy is very proud of his new front door. We surfed the web looking for a 7 foot door in solid wood that was less boring than what you can find at the home center. We found a Scandinavian website with several interesting designs. This one is called the Osby. Rather than pay a fortune to have one shipped here, we took the catalog they mailed us and scanned the image of the door. Then we had Dooley's woodshop fabricate it for us.

The finished installation really looks great with the high-end 7 foot storm door.

There used to be a doorway in the corner of the living room where the green chair is. We closed that up and cut a double door into the den making the den and fireplace accessible to the main part of the house.
